Embroidered bookmarks







These bookmarks are made from felt and are in the shape of a rectangle. The flower  and leave designs  are cut off from the felt from the template and  embroidered on the main felt  of the bookmark. The flower and leaves  are embroidered by beads.

Materials:

Felt  sheets 

any color for base. 

For flowers, pink, red orange, and for leaves green

Beads (any color and size)

Embroidery thread (any color)

Needle

Scissors



Instructions:

Cut a piece of felt into a rectangular shape of 3 inches by 6 inches. The size can be altered  depending on the size of your bookmark.

Print out the template 

Cut the flowers and leaves from the template given







Embroider your flowers and leaves design on the felt. You can use any type of embroidery stitch you like.


Once your design is embroidered, add the beads. You can sew the beads on with the embroidery thread or use a hot glue gun.


Cut a piece of felt to create the bookmark's backing .The backing should be the same size as the front of the bookmark.

Sew the front and back of the bookmark together, leaving a small opening at the top where you can add loop or ribbon.


And  you can decorate with bead and  tassel at bottom .

Your bead embroidery felt bookmark is now complete!



Here are some additional tips for making your bead embroidery felt bookmark:


Use a sharp needle to prevent the felt from fraying.


*Use a variety of beads to create a more interesting design.


*If you are not comfortable with embroidery, you can use a hot glue gun to attach the beads to the felt.


*Be sure to press the bookmark flat after you have finished sewing it together. This will help to prevent the felt from fraying.
